As many of you might have noticed by now, Sir V.S. did not provide the "anglophones" with an entire forum ... but, oh, well, they're outnumbered anyway.  :)

Thank you, Sir D for worming up a little corner for us, the "anglophones". I have been feeling like a foreigner ever since I tried to read the francophone section, who's  language  I suposetly studied for 7 years in school.I don't deny that French has a special armony, is stilish and classy, but English seems to be much closer to my heart.
A delightful day to you all!

Thank you for your kind words, Milady. Well, if someone were to learn that I've been studying Russian for five years in school, on a six hours per week basis, I would be deeply ashamed to say the truth about my knowledge of Russian language : the only word I can remember is "mirror" .
I was talking to this friend of mine the other day and suddenly it came to my mind that we do not just "claim" to be francophones. I was trying really hard to say "Hello" to an acquiantance that was passing by, and the only letters that I could "gather" in order to form an entire word were : "BONJOUR". I find this rather funny, although Sir V. might find some kind of enchantment in it.  :)

Yes, some words really find their way out into the world easier in a "French shape". I always thought "hello" it's a weak point of English language while comparing with the jolly "Bonjour", the smiling word. Number two, of which I'm not completly certain, would be the missing answer at "welcome" and the term of comparison-Romanian.
We don't claim to be francophone because Bucharest used to be "little Paris", French was both the intellectuals' language and  the high society requirement, because we are quite similar people in thinking, although with opposite backrounds,we'd rather get busy with love at 5 pm than with drinking tea and maybe because France was one of our less variable allys along the history.I guess we are francophones by grandparents and great-grandparents.
English is easy,straight-forward, polite, with a rich supply of words. I find it fascinatingly simple and incredibly warm underneath.
On that happy note(I tried to be fair to both languages),I'm sending you my best regards!

Sometimes it feels as if life disagrees with me on everything and as much as I might like excitement every once in a while,I get tired. It is not only boredom, it's plain physical exhaustion. It might be that I get tired too easily,or that I don't have realistic expectations,or that I'm not much of a fighter, but I can't stop wondering:will I ever be able to keep track with life the way everybody else seems to be doing?
I didn't know what section to choose to say that. I was clueless about what I was gonna say. I wanted to shout that I feel so bloody lonely,so lost and so hopeless. I try to calm down saying to myself that life is made of ups and downs.I also know that I should work my way up.What if I don't have the strengh to do it?What if it's gonna be all downhill from here? What if I had my chance and I just failed?
I know why I wrote that here:because it's English corner, not the drama topic.I wanted to shout and go.
Good morning,dear friends!

Erika, nobody keeps up with life. That's what separates us humans from the rest of the world (animal, vegetal or inanimate). A beetle is all that it can be. A human is never all that he/she can be.

Erika, life is never only downhill, not even if you're eighty. When you are up there, friend of the eagle, you may have the opportunity to observe every single thing but it's apart somehow. When you are down at least you see both the peak you're aiming at and also the closer rocks under your feet. Coloured rocks can be very ineteresting sometimes. As long as you can see, nothing is going to stop you. You're rythm may be faster or slower comparing with other people but not with you. I'd like to say that i also feel bloody lonely and lost and stranger (in the life not in the night). Its all about trying. Keep tracking!

I deeply appreciate your answers, especially that Vlad expressed his ideas in English. I promise I will stop by the Francophone section  at some point, although I had no contact with French in 8 years, I suppose and I know for a fact it's really hard for me to say somthing that makes sense or that is even close to being spelled accurately. My best friend married a Frenchman 5 months ago, so I had the chance to observe how frustrating it is not to be able to express your thoughts in a certain language and still understand a tiny little bit.
A wonderful week to you all!
